My radio-ready remix of nilsix & Adara's song, Falls Apart. Made with permission.

I had been keeping an eye out for a song to remix for some time when I came across Skio Music's remix competition for Falls Apart in January 2026.

The original song was an EDM Trance track and my vision was to remix it as a radio-ready pop song while keeping the best of the very cool synth instrumentals. Using Alan Walker's songs as inspiration (or perhaps David Guetta or Avicci).

The original was over five minutes. There was a "Skillrex" type synth instrumental after the last chorus which I removed. I then split the powerful main synth instrumental into two and placed one part of it after the last chorus.

The intro was too long and didn't build enough tension for my purposes, but nilsix had provided a large number of stems for the competition and I found a beautiful synth and percussion progression buried under the pre-chorus which I adapted as the new intro.
